The election going to be held in this year perhaps in April or May. K Surendran who is the President of BJP in kerala has said that Left parties LDF and UDF were silent on this issue.

They were not sayings about the issue, in the state despite concerns raised by the Hindu and Christian communities. He has also said that if the NDA comes in power in Kerala they are going to take action.

He also added that Both parties [LDF and UDF] need to clarify their policy on love jihad. Despite calls from Christians and Hindus to bring in a law against love jihad, the LDF and the UDF remain silent. They must clarify why.

The love jihad law, introduced by the Yogi Adityanath government last year, forbids conversion done through “misrepresentation, force, undue influence, coercion, allurement or by any fraudulent means”. The law provides for jail term of one to 5 years, and a minimum fine of Rs 15,000.
