Delhi police have arrested 3 people on saturday for attacking a 17 year old boy just after he objected to “objectionable remarks and gestures” directed at his sister in Delhi’s Kalkaji.
At the moment he health condition of the boy is very bad. He is admitted to the Delhi’s All India Institute for Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for treatment.
Delhi police has said that on friday the incident took place outside their school in Delhi’s Kalkaji area. His sister studies in class 12th and he himself studies in class 10th.
At around 1 PM both of them were going back to home after the school, when three-four boys, standing nearby, started making indecent remarks and gestures at the girl.
The girl told the Delhi police that her brother went to confront the boys, one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the 17-year-old in his stomach and fled.
Urging Home Minister Amit Shah and Lt. Governor Anil Baijal to take appropriate action in the matter, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and wrote: “Deeply concerned by the murder of a 8-yr old girl in Khichdipur & attack on a 17-yr old boy in Kalkaji. Delhi’s law and order situation is in a serious turmoil, I appeal to Hon’ble Home Minister & Lt. Gov to take appropriate action to address the situation.”
