Farmers protest is going on from past 40 days, and they are constantly in touch with the centre so that the government will accept their proposal and they will withdraw the three laws.
The farmers are still on the Delhi border and till date they have attended 8 meetings with the government but after all this the conclusion is till not vivid.
Just like the other meetings after this meeting also they did not decide anything, the eighth round also ended without a comprehensive solution. So it is said that next they are going have a meeting on 15 January.
The last meeting held at the Vigyan Bhavn, had hit a roadblock in first few minutes as both sides remain firm on their stands. And then meeting started discussing about the three laws.
During the meeting Amit Shah said that, after this talk show if nothing happens then they will again meet for another talk show. . If repealing of laws was the only issue, a solution would’ve been reached, there are several other issues to be addressed.
Rakesh Tikait the Spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union said that they are not going anywhere and also the Farmers won’t relent before the laws are repealed. They again come for another meeting. He added that they are not asking anything much, they just want the withdrawal of the three laws.
The government has proposed to form an informal group with members from both side. The informal group will be tasked to suggest acceptable points, however, the suggestions would not be binding. The government has also proposed that it will urge the Supreme Court to hold daily hearings in the matter to speed up the verdict.
And this is how the eighth meeting ended without any decision.
