Gujarat gets 180 crore For Scholarship Scheme


The government of Gujarat is going to give scholarship for the students. The centre says that the state government of Gujarat will get e Rs 180 crore for this financial year.

This scholarship will be given to the post-matric students, it would be under the post-matric scholarship scheme, The scholarship is not for all the students, it is mainly for the Scheduled Caste (SC) students.


On the other hand in the year of 2020 December the state received Rs 59,000 crore from the Union Cabinet for the post-matric scholarship, and that was also for the SC students of the region.

Ishwar Parmar who is the state Social Justice and Empowerment Minister said in a press conference that this time the government is going to give more emphasis on the scholarships.


He also added that in this new pattern the government is going to spend around 60% in only scholarships, and each state of the region will get the share of 40%. “The Gujarat government’s annual committed liability for this scheme was Rs 309.43 crore. Of this, the Centre gave us Rs 15 crore as its share in the previous fiscal.

C.R. Paatil, the president of BJP of Gujarat gives a vote of thanks to the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he took that decision on favour of SC students, he said that this will really help the SC community.


Mr Paatil said that it is for the first time the state is getting this huge amount of for post matric scholarship from the centre. Before it was always around 20 crore, but this time the government has approved this amount for the benefit of the SC students.
