Jessica Jones also known as Marvel’s Jessica Jones is an American web television series created by Melissa Rosenberg, based on the marvel comic book series of the same name. It first hit our screens in 2015. However executives at Netflix confirmed in February of 2019 that the third season was to be the last.

Fans have since then been eagerly waiting for the season 4 and the show to be revived by someone else and there might just be somes glimmer of hope. Here’s what we know

Jessica Jones season 4: What is it about?

The plot follows Jessica Jones a super-powered woman and her exploits as she saves day regularly until one day she comes face to face with Kilgrave. The event leads to her inadvertently killing an innocent person which leads her to take up a job as a private investigator retiring from the superhero life. That is until her arch nemesis Killgrave returns and only she can save the day.

The series boasts a varied ensemble. Krysten Ritter plays the role of Jessica Jones, the titular character of the series. Mike Colter plays the role of Luke Cage, a man with superhuman strength. Rachael Taylor plays the role of Patricia Trish Walker. David Tennant plays the Super villain Kilgrave in the series.

There are three seasons of the show out there, each consisting of 13 episodes each. So that is a total of 39 episode to binge on until some network decides to revive the show. With a consistent rating of 7.9 on IMDB it surely is a show worth your time.

Will Jessica Jones return?

As things stand right now the future of the show hangs in uncertainty. Netflix has not shown any interest when it comes to reviving the show. However Marvel Head, Kevin Fiege has said that it is possible that Disney Plus could be the network to revive the show. This makes sense since Disney is the parent company to Marvel and they surely would love to have more original content in their OTT platform. As of now, the closest estimate we can make is anywhere near 2022. Until then you know the drill, binge on this amazing series right here right now!
