Jharkhand is going to share the vaccine in just few days. The state is about the get first consignment of Covishield vaccine from the Serum Institute of India (SII) within few days.
Just after that they are going to start the process of the first phase of the mass vaccination drive against Covid-19 from January 16. The health minister of the state says that the vaccine is going to be used for vaccination against the novel coronavirus in the state.
He also said that they are suppose to get the vaccine by January 14, 2021. The vaccine is going to be send to 275 different vaccination centres spread across the state in special vans.
He also added that all these centres are going to be under surveillance of the government. In this vaccination drive of Jharkhand there would be around 7,500 private and government-trained volunteers.
In the first phase, around 1.25 lakh health workers including the Anganwadi workers would be administered the dose. However, the final tally will depend on the number of vaccine vials the state receives as part of the first consignment.
On the other hand the frontline workers including police, Nigam employees, paramilitary force and others with co-morbidities will get the dose. The health minister of Jharkhand said that around 95 lakh people will get the dose in the third phase.
The health minister of Jharkhand is taking too much effort so that this vaccination campaign will complete without any issue. The rules which would be followed during the transportation of vaccines is not confirmed yet. He have said that information regarding this will be shared soon.
