Pakistan conducted artillery shelling over Dawar, Keran, Uri and Naugam Sectors injuring several civilians
In a series of continuing border disturbances, the Pakistan Army on Friday launched artillery attacks on various sectors along The Line if Control which resulted in the death of 4 Indian Army Soldiers and 1 Border Security Force Sub Inspector. The army put out a statement thanking them for their sacrifice
The deputy commissioner of Barmulla District, Gulab Itoo told the press, “the 5 injured civilians have been shifted to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences where they are to receive full medical attention.
The army put a statement saying the BSF Sub Inspector killed was named Rakesh Doval.”He joined the force in 2004 and was deployed to the BSF’s artillery division. Rakesh’s sacrifice is of immense love and respect for the nation. He sustained head injuries which he succumbed to on Friday.” The Sub Inspector is survived by his father, wife and a nine year old daughter.
In retaliation to this, the Indian army launched anti-tank missiles towards PAF Bunkers along the LOC. The Indian army has claimed it has killed almost 8 Pakistani Soldiers in these bunkers.
The Indian Army believes that the shelling was actually a distraction by the Pakistani Armed Forces in order to facilitate terrorist crossings over the LoC. However, these attempts were foiled by alert officers in the area.
Earlier this week the Army was able to challenge and neutralize 3 terrorists over a 12 hour period in Northern Kashmir’s Machil Sector. This operation consisted of heavy gun-fire exchanged between both sides and resulted in the death of 4 security personnel (1 BSF)
Pakistan will try to push terrorists as deep as they can before winter snow closes the mountain passes.
Pakistan conducted 819 more ceasefire violations than 2019
This year has seen an increasing number of such incidents at the LoC. Karachi has especially escalated the frequency of these attacks in the last two months with over 394 violations in October itself. Last year there were 3233 such violations while this year saw 4025 incidents
