Rajesh Tope who is the Health Minister of the state Maharashtra is tested positive. On thursday he updated a post in his official twitter account and shared this information with the public.
Rajesh Tope wrote “I have tested positive for coronavirus. I am in good health and consulting a doctor. With the blessings of all of you, I will soon be in your service after defeating Covid-19.”
Rajesh Tope said that in past few days the people who were in contact of him should go for a test to find out whether they are fine or not. In these days the covid cases in the region increasing rapidly.
Maharashtra has been witnessing a fresh spike rise in Covid-19 cases for the past few days. On Thursday, the state reported 5,427 new coronavirus cases and 38 deaths due to Covid-19 in 24 hours. Meanwhile, 2,543 patients were discharged today in the state leaving 40,858 active cases in the state.The case fatality rate in the state is 2.48 per cent.
Recently the Maharashtra Government has imposed lockdown in the state to control the covid cases in the region. New rules and regulations have been imposed on the people for few day.
The government is taking full precautions to control the situation and for the welfare of the people. Government has said that The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also released a set of fresh Covid-19 guidelines for capital Mumbai. In the area of Amravati and Yavatmal covid cases are increasing rapidly. These places fall under the Vidarbha.
