Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most popular games out there, and now its finally coming to Steam. Publisher Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that the open-world title will finally make its debut on Valve’s store in early December.

Gamers had to wait for nearly a year for the game to land on PC. And thankfully, the developer has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to Steam on December 5, which makes it less than a week.

That said, it’s worth noting that even if you purchase the game via Steam, you’ll still need to install the Rockstar Launcher in order to play the game. Grand Theft Auto 5 players who bought the game on Steam might already know how this works, as it automatically opens Rockstar’s launcher when you try to play the game.

Apart from the standard version, two other versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 are listed on Steam. These include Red Dead Redemption 2 Special Edition and Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition. The special edition includes exclusive story mode content such as Bank Robbery Mission & Gang Hideout, Dappled Black Thoroughbred, Talisman & Medallion Gameplay Bonuses, Gameplay Boosts, Cash Bonuses & Discounts, and the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit, plus free access to Additional Weapons.

Meanwhile, the game’s ultimate edition comes with all the Story Mode content from the Special Edition along with additional online content which includes Bonus Outfits for online characters, Rank Bonuses, Black Chestnut Thoroughbred, as well as free access to the Survivor Camp Theme. Besides, you’ll also get free access to Additional Weapons.

The game is already listed on Steam, though you can’t purchase it before December 5. However, what you can do for now is add the game to your wishlist.
