Sarbananda Sonowal the CM of Assam has provided smart phones to the forest staff officers on monday to facilitate the forest protection field and perform their duty at the respective areas.
Sarbananda Sonowal distributed 3o smartphone on monday along with that he also gave solar lights to two national parks, one is Dihing Patkai National Park and the other one is Dibru Saikhowa National Park.
The event took place at Dinjan in Dibrugarh District, Assam.Sonowal also laid the foundation stone of Institute of Wildlife Health & Research (IWH&R) at Dinjan in Dibrugarh on the same day.
The IWH&R, Dinjan, is scheduled to be completed within 2 years at an approximate cost of Rs 250 crore, and it is being established on a plot of land measuring 120 bigha covering wildlife issues like Wildlife Health & Diagnostics, Wildlife Forensics, Wildlife Clinical Research, Wildlife Crisis Management & Translocation, Wildlife Informatics and Wildlife Public Policy and Cooperation, a press release said.
The ceremony was attended by different MLa’s and also Parimal Suklabaidya who is the Assam Forest minister was also there, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Rameswar Teli.
