The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken a decision that they will not issue new visa for the visitors of pakistan. They have also added other 11 countries in the list. This decision is taken for the time being, it is not confirmed that how long this will work.
This new rule will not be implied on all the visitors,as they have mentioned there will be no new visa issue. Those whose visa is already issued they will be free to travel anytime.
A Pakistani officer confirmed that the UAE has taken this step and said that they believe that it is related to the second wave of COVID-19. So, In terms of the safely and good health of the public they have taken this step.
The UAE use to issue different category of visa which includes business, tourist, transit and student. So, far we do not know that this suspension will affected which categories.
Regarding this we do not have any kind of official notice given by UAE government. Including Pakistan there are other 11 countries to which UAE will not issue new visa. So, the list includes Turkey, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Kenya and Afghanistan.
In the last one week the cases of Coronavirus has increased in Pakistan. Within one week the country has spotted 2000 new covid cases. Along with this there were around 30 people from pakistan travelling to Hong Kong on board an Emirates flight all of them are tested positive now.
