Vijender Singh Takes A Vow To Return Prestigious Khel Ratna
The ongoing protests against the farm bill have created havoc in the country. Thousands of farms from the different state have gathered in several places bordering New Delhi to protest against the laws.
And several people are coming in support of the farmers. Among these people, there are politicians, celebrities and sportspersons. Recently Indian boxer Vijender Singh also became a part of the farmers’ protest as he visited the protest site at Singhu border.
The boxer addressed his farmer brothers with a firm speech. Vijender gave a loud and clear message to the central government. He said that the farm bill has to be withdrawn by the government at any cost. And if that does not happen then he will return the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award he has received for his contribution in the field of sports.
He said that nothing matters more than the dignity of his farmer brothers. Vijender added that he has trained himself to become an ace boxer from Punjab and now he cannot ignore the sufferings of his own people.
Vijender Singh Takes A Dig At Bollywood
The boxer also got into a controversy as he criticized the Bollywood celebrities of being hypocrites. Vijender Singh recently reacted on the Kangana Ranaut and Dijit Dosanjh dispute on the farmers’ protest.
He said that many Bollywood celebrities are reluctant to come in support of their own people whereas Punjab celebrities have stood in solidarity with their farmer brothers.
Vijender also got into a Twitter war with actress Kangana Ranaut as she posted derogatory remarks on the farmers’ protest.
