The ongoing farmers’ protest has created havoc in the entire nation. This protest is getting both national and international coverage with many famous personalities giving their opinions on the protest.

Recently the captain of Indian cricket team Virat Kohli has openly expressed his views on the ongoing situation. The protests started tow months back with farmers from many parts of the country gathering in New Delhi to protest against the new farm laws.

After keeping mum for all these months Kohli joined his fellow cricketers in talking about this issue after Singer Rihanna and Environment activist Greta Thunberg supported the farmers through their powerful tweets. And after that many celebrities and cricketers slammed the two personalities for spreading false propaganda against the peace and harmony of India and Virat Kohli was one among them.

Celebrities Being Slammed For Hypocrisy

Celebrities and cricketers like Ajay Devgan, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty etc started a Twitter storm after Rihanna and Greta supported the farmers.

The Twitter storm was apparently started to warn people to not fall for false propaganda to ruin the peace and harmony of the nation. But these personalities are being slammed for their hypocrisy as their tweets show that they are not standing in solidarity with the farmers.

And the reason behind that can be the fact that they cannot speak anything against the government for their personal benefits. As for now except Virat Kohli, the other celebrities have refrained from commenting directly on their recent tweet against false propaganda.
